What is the P-Shot?

Men’s sexual health has made giant strides with a remarkable new treatment, the P-Shot. Revived Performance for Men (RPM) is one of Denver’s few men’s-only health and wellness centers that offers this innovative new treatment that aims to improve sexual function and satisfaction for patients and their partners by treating the root causes of Erectile Dysfunction. Read this article to answer the question “what is the p-shot” and understand just how amazing the P Shot can be for your love life before contacting us to experience the benefits for yourself.

What is the P-shot?

The P Shot, or Priapus shot, is an advanced treatment option available for men with erectile dysfunction that enhances and rejuvenates your penis by improving sexual health at the cellular level. The P Shot uses concentrated platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from your own body to restore damaged and aging tissues. When PRP is injected into any part of your body, it causes your body to construct new, fresh cells. It also removes old cells from the area. Since the P-Shot is derived from your own blood, there are no synthetic ingredients, making it more natural than other erectile dysfunction treatments. This also means the risk of allergic reaction or rejection is incredibly low.

For men, erectile dysfunction can be a difficult problem. Some men may experience feelings of shame while talking to a doctor about this subject. Rest assured that these issues are more widespread than you might imagine, and there are excellent solutions available with the complete support you will experience from Revived Performance for Men in Denver. PRP is used to create the P-Shot, which promotes the creation of new tissue for bigger, harder, and more frequent erections.

You may be a candidate for a P-Shot in Denver if you:

  • Cannot reach or maintain an erection
  • Have lost sensation in your penis
  • Have a decreased sexual drive
  • Have a curved or shortened penis that may also be called Peyronie’s Disease

The great news is that there are minimal to no side effects related to the P-Shot. This matters because many men suffer from difficulty getting or sustaining an erection long enough for intercourse and often report side effects from other common treatments; including ed pills and injections. Your P-Shot can help you to restore both your sex life and penile health.

Fact: The Priapus Shot is perfectly named after the Greek God Priapus, who was the god of male regenerative power and sexual health.

How the P-Shot is performed

The P-Shot is performed in our luxurious Denver clinic by drawing a small amount of blood from your arm. The blood is placed in a centrifuge to concentrate the healing components and growth factors which are returned to your body right where you need the most healing.

Step 1: Before P ShotStep 2: During P ShotStep 3: After P Shot
Before the P-Shot is performed, you will have a consultation with PA Kurts to discuss your goals and complete some basic medical testing in Denver. These tests help ensure you are a candidate for a P shot and to avoid any complications. The blood tests give an indication as to how healthy your blood, plasma, and platelets are. Once these tests have been completed, the P Shot procedure can begin.A blood sample is collected from your arm so that PRP can be extracted. In order to separate the platelet-rich plasma, the blood sample is then placed in a centrifuge and spun rapidly for a few minutes. The super-concentrated platelets are then administered into the penile shaft. The entire process only takes a few minutes and may require 4 to 5 injections. You can leave the clinic shortly after the treatment and resume your regular activities because the P-Shot is an outpatient procedure. Since the procedure is non-surgical, you won’t need to take any time off from work to have your P Shot done in Denver. For the ultimate results, you may wish to limit sexual activity and strenuous physical activity for the rest of that day.

Priapus Shot Reviews

Men in the Denver area have just started to search for the priapus shot near me, but the results have been outstanding.

William H.

“I went to Sarah in August with the insecurity of ED and size. I got a P-shot and was instructed to use the two-pump method. I did this for 3 months and love the results. I have gained just over 1/2” in length. I don’t know the measurement of girth but it definitely gained a lot. My partner has noticed it and is extremely happy with it. I can notice a huge difference as well. It is hard work keeping up with the pumping but if you do it right and are consistent you will see the results. The whole team at RPM has made me feel comfortable and it had been a pleasure working with them.”

Caffeine and Erectile Dysfunction

The question whether caffeine influences erectile dysfunction has been around for a while, but results are still inconclusive. Recent studies have mixed results, with one stating a positive effect and another resulting in no effects.

What The Studies Found

One study concludes that men who consume caffeine have fewer problems performing. The study states:

“In general, we found a reduced likelihood to report ED among men with caffeine intake, especially with 2–3 daily cups of coffee, which is approximately 170–375 mg/day. Interestingly, we found differences in the inverse associations of caffeine intake and caffeinated beverages among overweight/obese, non-diabetic and hypertensive men.”

A more recent study concludes that caffeine has no effects on performance. This study states:

“In summary, we did not find an association, either positive or negative, between total or regular coffee intake and ED. However, decaffeinated-coffee intake seemed to be associated with ED, possibly because of residual confounding. None of the modifiable lifestyle factors influenced the association of coffee intake with ED.”

This same study did have an interesting finding: men who drank four or more cups of decaffeinated coffee daily had a 35% increased risk of experiencing erectile dysfunction.

What We Do Know About Caffeine

Whether or not caffeine has a direct effect on ED, it is a stimulant that can increase overall energy and blood flow when ingested. A logical conclusion is that caffeine might help to boost sexual performance in some ways. Coffee specifically is full of anti-inflammatory agents and antioxidants. These ingredients can help relax muscles, expand arteries, increase blood flow and boost levels of testosterone in the body.

If you are experiencing ED on a regular basis, it’s safe to say that caffeine isn’t the most effective solution. Revived Performance for Men is here to help. Our Board Certified Physician Associate will guide you to finding the right solution, no matter your situation.

Erectile Dysfunction Causes

For many men, erectile dysfunction is an unexpected condition that can develop at any age. It can be easy to become discouraged by the condition and also have it affect your romantic relationship. If you want to obtain treatment for the disorder, it’s important to understand a few of the main causes.

Stress or Anxiety

Erectile dysfunction can develop when men are stressed or suffer from anxiety for prolonged periods of time. Emotional issues can have a direct impact on the man’s physical health and well-being, making it difficult to get aroused easily. A doctor will ask about your history and overall health while inquiring about any stressors that are present in your life. Relationship conflicts are also related to this type of condition or if you suffer from depression. A healthcare provider may prescribe you anti-anxiety or depression medication to alleviate the issue instead of only prescribing medicine for erectile dysfunction.

Diabetes can also cause erectile dysfunction. Those who have diabetes are already at a 50 percent risk of developing the condition because diabetes has an impact on how your body is able to process glucose. Too much sugar in your blood can start to damage your blood vessels and nerves, which can make it difficult to become erect and maintain an erection.

High blood pressure can also trigger erectile dysfunction as it also causes damage to the blood vessels if it’s too high for a long period of time. Managing hypertension and changing your diet can offer relief and work well for treating the issue.

Heart Disease

Heart disease leads to the narrowing of the blood vessels, which can make it challenging for enough blood to pump and flow to develop an erection. Getting the right treatment for heart disease will not only increase the size of the blood vessels but can quickly treat heart disease.

By learning about some of the main causes of erectile dysfunction, you can obtain proper treatment while working with a healthcare professional. Getting to the root of the underlying cause will improve your overall health and can restore your ability to connect with your partner.

Benefits of Using Shockwave Therapy for Erectile Dysfunction

The same shockwave therapy that your doctor prescribes for your kidney stones and your child’s foot injury in soccer, can now help you with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction (ED) and Peyronie’s Disease. Urologists use this non-invasive medical treatment for patients who wish to avoid invasive treatments or who do not do well on medication. European doctors first used the method, but US doctors now prescribe shockwave therapy, too.

Some sources still consider shockwave therapy an experimental treatment, but research has shown its efficacy. It isn’t yet known if it works over the long-term nor if it could replace or combine with other ED treatments. The evidence thus far shows that shockwave therapy helps about 75 percent of the patients who undergo it. They no longer require oral or injectable medicines to achieve an erection.

How Does It Work?

Shockwave therapy improves blood flow to the penis. The treatment consists of a series of high frequency, but low-intensity shock waves that help repair damaged blood vessels. The shockwaves also remove micro-plaque. You won’t need a local anesthetic nor medication to numb the area treated. The pain-free treatment takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

Depending on your health and the situation, you may require six to 12 treatments.

What Results Can You Expect?

Undergoing shockwave therapy can create numerous benefits that improve sexual function. These include the following improvements to sexual performance:

  • Harder erections,
  • Improved hardening of the penis,
  • Enhanced penial sensitivity,
  • Less time between orgasms,
  • Increased sexual spontaneity.

Although it isn’t a medical benefit, a successful treatment for ED can boost your confidence.

Who Can Undergo Shockwave Therapy?

Nearly any male with ED can undergo this treatment. As long as you have reached the age of 18 and you are male, you can use shockwave therapy. Doctors documented the efficacy of treatment up to the age of 70 in patients. If you’re older than that, speak with your doctor about the possibility of using this treatment in combination with another. Your overall health can contribute to success.

Contact Revived Performance for Men today for more information about your desire for a better, less invasive ED treatment. Call us at (720) 807-6654 for an appointment and consultation that can help you recover some of the pep you may have lost as your blood vessels aged.

What Are Exosomes Injections?

Are you interested in exosomes and how this intriguing cellular regenerative technique can help you? You’re not alone: as encouraging results have shown that exosome injections can improve erectile dysfunction (ED) issues, exosomes have become a hot topic Let’s take a deeper dive into exosomes, the procedure for ED, and the results.

What Do Exosomes Fix?

First, a little explanation. Exosomes are microscopic extracellular vesicles, considerably smaller than cells. They form in endosome pockets inside the cell. Stay with me, I know this sounds like a lot of gibberish.

An endosome is somewhat like a small pocket of air or bubble inside of the cell. Several microparticles, such as proteins, messenger-RNA, micro-RNA, and valuable lipids, combine inside the endosome ‘bubble’. They bond together and then are ejected out of the cell, becoming what’s known as an ‘exosome’.

Exosomes are how cells communicate with each other, as exosomes carry messages amongst themselves. Basically, the exosomes give marching orders to other cells and kick-start the body’s natural healing process. It was traditionally thought that this expulsion was a waste by-product of the cells.

Now we understand that exosomes are not waste: what messages are these exosomes carrying? Often, these messages are the body’s cells communicating to others that repairs need to take place. Sometimes the exosomes signal for more aid to their location if major regeneration is required. As we age, our body’s cells are not able to function as well as they once did, and this is where exosome injections come in to save the day.

What Is the Procedure?

Here at Revived Performance for Men, we use the reputable product ExoFlo, which was created by Direct Biologics for our exosome injections. The treatment is administered through a quick, simple and direct injection to the treatment area. While other treatments like Plasma Rich Platelet (PRP) therapy require a small amount of the patient’s own blood, with ExoFlo injections blood draw is not necessary.

ExoFlo is sourced from donated mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) obtained from human bone marrow. That means we’re using the same exosomes that the body develops naturally! Direct Biologics processes and produces ExoFlo under the most stringent standards. They operate under what is considered current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP). This is the FDA’s highest enforced standard.

We take patient health and safety seriously and only use the most trustworthy substances in our treatments. If you’d like to learn more, visit our ExoFlo page. Is Exosome Therapy Safe?

Exosome therapy is somewhat new to the erectile dysfunction arena. So, naturally, due caution is warranted. There are many bad actors in this market and the FDA has issued reports on concerns related to exosome cases. When digging through all of this, it can be hard to know what information to trust, so we’re going to break it down below:

Who Produces Exosomes?

First off, exosomes are made and used in your body organically. As a natural part of your body, there have been no long-term negative side effects reported from this treatment.

Exosomes are not a synthetic or man-made chemical, they’re an important part of your body that contain things such as protein and DNA. Exosome therapies, such as the newly popular ExoFlo service, are completely organic and natural. The exosomes are sourced from human bone marrow mesenchymal stroma/stem cells.

Direct Biologics, the company that produces ExoFlo, is working in complete agreement with the FDA. They take their safety concerns very seriously and maintain “Current Good Manufacturing Practices” (CGMP), which is the most superior standard of processing and manufacturing controls.

What About FDA Approval?

Exosomes are very closely related to what the FDA refers to as HCT/Ps (Human Cellular or Tissue products). This means they are governed very similarly to HCT/Ps. For now, the FDA approves no products with exosomes just like there are no approved HCT/Ps. The FDA requires HCT/Ps to be registered and does not require prior FDA approval. As long as the products are meant for homologous use and are minimally manipulated, they are safe.

What does homologous use mean? Basically it’s using an HCT/P to heal or repair a patient in the same way the donor’s body would use the cells or tissue. Exosomes assist with cell communications in everyone. And since exosomes are naturally found in everyone’s body and are performing the same function for the recipient as the donor, it falls under ‘homologous use.’

Direct Biologics’ ExoFlo is a minimally manipulated tissue that has one single donor for each lot. ExoFlo contains no animal products, chemicals or drugs in the processing and isolation of the exosome products. Direct Biologics is actively seeking FDA approval and working hard to ensure a safe to use product.

In fact, Direct Biologics just recently received FDA approval to proceed with their second ExoFlo IND (Investigational New Drug) for post-acute COVID-19 syndrome and chronic post-COVID-19 syndrome last week. This is exciting and promising news for this amazing product.

You can rest assured that Revived Performance for Men has your safety in mind. Our Denver office follows a strict standard maintained by Sarah Kurts. Sarah is a Board Certified Physician Assistant and graduated with distinction from the University of Virginity. She earned her Physician Assistant degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

How Do Exosomes Work?

For a long time, microscopic entities known as Exosomes were overlooked as nothing more than scrap waste. However, over time, new discoveries have shown how vital they are to repairing damaged tissue.

Where Do They Come From?

Exosomes are one of two types of cells known as extracellular vesicles, the other being microparticles. They are only a couple nanometers in size. Extracellular vesicles can come from different parts of the cell. Inside of a cell, a part of the membrane wall forms inward. This creates a special form of lipid vesicle called an endosome. In layman’s terms, the endosome is like a small pocket or bubble inside of the cell.

Proteins, microRNA, and messenger RNA become enclosed within the endosome ‘pocket’ membrane. These proteins and RNA are now trapped together inside the endosome. Trapped inside the ‘pocket’, they become an extracellular vesicle.

In order for the newly created extracellular vesicle to now get out of the endosome and the cell, the endosome has to fuse with the surface of the cell. This releases the extracellular vesicle out of the cell.

Think of it like pulling your pocket inside out to get rid of lint. Except, exosomes are way more powerful than lint.

What Do Exosomes Do?

Extracellular vesicles used to be regarded as merely being leftover waste of the cells. However, when researchers looked at these microscopic bits more they realized something incredible. These extracellular vesicles were actually a clever method of passing messages back and forth between cells.

Because of their small size, exosomes  are able to pass between cell membranes. They act as mail carriers delivering instructions and information between cells. When the raw building materials of the body, known as stem and progenitor cells, don’t know what to do, exosomes step in to guide them.

These signals also request the body to send more stem cells to the area, organizing an effective and well-regulated process of healing.

ExoFlo, the leading product in exosome therapy, is made by Direct Biologics. They’re certified by the FDA’s regulations on Current Good Manufacturing Practice. Each cc of ExoFlo contains over 10 Billion exosomes. For more information, we have an extensive amount of details on this ExoFlo page

What is Exosome Therapy?

Scientists can’t help but get excited and overcomplicate exosome therapy. Granted, exosomes are very complex, but scientists tend to add needless complexity when discussing the topic. As we explain this amazing regenerative medicine, we want to keep it simple and understandable.

What Are Exosomes?

First off, a quick summary of what these little guys are. Exosomes simply help cells talk to each other and give the body instructions to start repairing itself. Kind of like a foreman or supervisor, exosomes oversee the performance of the body’s natural stem cells. They manage these cells and direct them on how to heal, repair, and restore damaged tissues.

Exosomes are one of two types of extracellular vesicles. ExoFlo’s exosomes are about 30-150 nanometers. They carry RNAs, proteins and lipids from their parent cells. It was thought that extracellular vesicles were a waste by-product of cells until it was investigated more. Researchers discovered that these tiny organisms are what actually allows communication between cells.

How Can Exosomes Help?

Stem cells are the body’s raw materials and their descendants are progenitor cells. Both work to restore, heal, and repair the body’s damaged tissues. However, sometimes there is a flaw that stops these cells from doing their job. This is where ExoFlo exosomes come in to save the day.

ExoFlo exosomes get these faulty stem cells back to working order. They also signal to the body to send more stem cell building material to the damaged area for repair. This promotes an organized and effective healing process.

As mentioned, exosomes are natural to the body. ExoFlo comes from human bone marrow mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSC). The proteins and RNA naturally found in MSC from bone marrow have a special property.

Typically when the body tries to heal itself, it often involves inflammation. Obviously, this can be an obstacle. However, bone marrow MSC has been shown to control this inflammatory restoration process. It fine-tunes the proper response of inflammation to allow for optimal healing.

Why ExoFlo?

I know what you’re thinking: If they’re naturally in the body, why can’t the body just fix itself on its own? Why do you need ExoFlo?

As great as our bodies are, they aren’t perfect, which is where ExoFlo comes in. An ExoFlo injection is able to speed up the body’s healing process by pin-pointing the problem and delivering the exosomes where they need to go immediately.

Direct Biologics, maker of ExoFlo, is certified by the FDA as a Current Good Manufacturing Practice company and they are a leading innovator of regenerative medical products. The company’s primary focus is optimizing the potential of regenerative technologies.

To that end, each vial of ExoFlo is processed for purity in a sterile filtered facility. Every cc of ExoFlo contains over 10 Billion extracellular vesicles. You can rest assured in ExoFlo’s performance.

What’s The Procedure?

The excellent thing about ExoFlo is how easy it is. You don’t have to think about it or remember to take any pills. After the treatment, the exosomes go to work on their own. Additionally, the procedure itself is a simple injection.

Where Can I Learn More?

Can Acid Reflux Medicine Cause Erectile Dysfunction?

In the world of medicine it can be hard to ascertain a relationship between drugs and the various symptoms you encounter. So many of the medicines including OTC (Over-The-Counter) can have unwanted side effects that can blindside you. We’re going to take a dive into the relationship between the more common Acid Reflux medications and Erectile Dysfunction.

Can Acid Reflux Medications Cause Erectile Dysfunction?

Erectile Dysfunction has a complex relationship with many of our body’s other physiological signs, often making causality hard to link. However, the reasonably high association between Acid Reflux medications and ED was hard to ignore for scientists who, after several studies, have determined that Acid Reflux medications can cause erectile dysfunction.

This includes a wider range of medications than you might think as well. Both Ranitidine and Omeprazole (commonly known as ‘Zantac’ and ‘Prilosec’) can cause ED. In addition, the commonly used drugs Nexium, Tagamet and Prevacid have been shown to cause ED as well. Due to the functionality of the drugs in question, it’s best to check the side effects regardless of what drug you use to see if there’s a link.

What GERD Medications Should I Look At Then?

GERD, or Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease, is an incredibly common issue in America. Researchers have estimated as high as 20% of the population to have GERD and that number could likely be low due to unreported cases resulting from how commonplace heartburn is in our society. That’s an immense amount of the population that relies on medication to allow them to eat, sleep and go about their lives as normal. So what about the men who don’t want to trade GERD for ED?

To start, Dexilant oddly does not have any link to Erectile Dysfunction, so it’s safe in that regard. I say ‘oddly’ because it can have some daunting long term side effects, so have a discussion with your Gastroenterologist first before taking it. It can also be quite pricey and is typically not covered by insurance.

Protonix is another that seems to be safe from the side effect, though it can cause joint pain. If you need an additional option, Aciphex does not have ED listed as a side effect either. All three of those medications typically require prescriptions whereas the OTC medications have a strong link to ED, so it’s mainly a function of how each medication works.

Ruling Out Other Causes

When you’re figuring out your body’s puzzle, it’s important to narrow down the other causes to eliminate them. Though these medications can cause ED, it doesn’t mean that they will and everyone reacts differently. It’s recommended that you try the following to make sure your Erectile Dysfunction isn’t being influenced by an outside factor:

  • Avoid foods that trigger heartburn

This one is simply easier said than done as GERD sufferers often have many triggers. If you’re one of the lucky few that is only set off by a specific type of food, such as fried foods, then try eliminating that from your diet first.

  • Don’t lie down after a meal

If you generate more stomach acid than normal, lying down after a meal will cause the acid to splash back up into the lining of the esophagus.

  • Don’t eat before bed

The Gastric Emptying process slows considerably during sleep, so avoid eating too close to bedtime.

  • Elevate or tilt the head of your bed

This simply uses gravity to keep the stomach acid out of the esophageal lining.

  • Keep a healthy weight

Excess weight can put pressure on the stomach and squeeze the acid upwards.

  • Quit cigarettes and alcohol

Doing these can damage the stomach valve that keeps acid out of your esophagus.

I’ve Tried Those, What Next?

If you are suffering from ED and need Acid Reflux medications to manage your symptoms then Revived Performance for Men is here to help. Our Board Certified Physician Assistant will guide you to finding the right solution, no matter your situation.

Are Cucumbers Good For Erectile Dysfunction?

Cucumbers have many exceptional health benefits. They contain numerous vitamins critical to men’s sexual health. They also taste great and go well in a ton of dishes! In this week’s look into erectile dysfunction, we’ll go over the benefits that cucumbers offer and how they can help you.

What Are Cucumbers Good For?

From keeping you well hydrated to supporting a healthy heart, cucumbers have found their way across the world in many traditional diets for good reason. Cucumbers are native to India and have been used in traditional medicines since ancient times. While very high in water, cucumbers are particularly low in calories.

As we mentioned, cucumbers are a very healthy fruit and vegetable. They are technically fruits because they have seeds, but they are vegetables in the culinary sense. More importantly, they’re known as one of the healthier additions to a meal due to the amount of water and the high concentration of vitamins and minerals relative to their caloric value.

The amount of water contained helps maintain healthy, vibrant skin in both men and women and the low calories make it an excellent food for weight loss. The fiber content also helps with keeping digestion in good condition as well as proper levels of water retention.

Cucumbers consist of many nutrients, too. While approximately 90% of a cucumber’s contents are water, they also contain vitamins C and K as well as trace amounts of potassium, manganese, magnesium, and silica. Many people mistakenly believe that cucumbers have no nutritional value, but this is completely false.

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, plays a vital role in the development, growth, and repair of all tissues in the body. A common cause of erectile dysfunction begins with weak blood vessels. This vitamin is essential to keeping healthy and strong blood vessels.

Can Cucumbers Help Impotence?

Because of their high water content, they are excellent for purifying the body. Cucumber’s cleansing action will remove old deposits of toxins and waste materials. This is a very important characteristic to utilize if, say, bad habits like smoking are causing your erectile dysfunction. It may not be enough to completely counteract major health issues, but eating more cucumbers can certainly help you keep going longer.

One unpeeled medium sized cuke contains up to roughly 60% of the recommended daily intake of Vitamin K. This group of fat soluble vitamins assist with blood clots which is just what you need to prevent any blood vessel blow-outs.

Manganese is another trace component of cucumbers. Accounting for only about 10% of the recommended daily intake, it’s going to be difficult to get enough of this essential mineral from cucumbers alone. The body produces a little of this mineral, but not enough to survive, so it is important to get the right amount. Too much and too little can cause the body to break down and age faster. As Manganese assists in bone health and hormone production, it’s valuable when trying to improve erectile dysfunction.

Changing your diet can go a long way in helping your overall health. However, some people need more assistance when treating their erectile dysfunction. You may be interested in learning about how ExoFlo exosome therapy can help you overcome your ED.

If you’re continuing to struggle with erectile dysfunction, don’t be embarrassed: you aren’t alone. Revived Performance for Men is here to help and your first appointment is free.
